Tomasz Gulla
born on 14 January 1981 in Słupsk, Poland, at present living in Gdynia, Poland, a lawyer. I have been taking pictures since the beginning of 2003. After several months I was offered to take part in the 2nd International Photo Exhibition in Łódź, Poland (2003). The next year was unexpectedly successful for me as one of my pictures was presented at the “Menschen in Europa” Exhibition in Vienna, Austria. In 2005, thanks to the kindness of the Dean of the Law Faculty of Gdańsk University, I could have organized my first own exhibition. In 2006 I was awarded the 2nd place (among over 25 000 submitted pictures) in the contest organized by the American portal betterphoto.com, the 5th place in the FotoSurf contest organized by the Dutch photo magazine Focus and a prize in the 4th edition of the Baltic Photo Contest. And again I had a chance to organize an exhibition at the Law and Administration Faculty of Gdańsk University, entitled “Gdańsk – the Port City” under the honourable patronage of the President of Gdańsk, the Chancellor of Gdańsk University and the Dean of the Law and Administration Faculty of Gdańsk University (November 2006).

 

Achievements:

Photography is my great passion, a springboard from dullness of everyday life, the field where I look for a different view of reality. I try to improve my skills all the time – with greater or smaller success, I try to create something new as well as go beyond the patterns. At the moment I am aiming at fulfilling some new projects – mainly connected with portrait. The current year has brought the next success – it is an exhibition at the International “MARZIART” Gallery in Hamburg, Germany for which I would like to thank the organisers.

geboren am 14 Januar 1981 in Slupsk, zu Zeit mit Stadt Gdynia stark verbunden vom beruf Anwalt. Meine erster erfahrung mit Fotografie habe ich gemacht in Jahr 2003. Schon nach ein paar Monaten habe ich die Angebot bekommen damit ein paar fotos von mir an dem II Internationalen Austellung der Fotografie in Lodz (2003) teil nehmen. Mit dem folgendem Jahr kamm für mich überraschungsweise der Erfolg, weil eine von meine foto würde präsentiert bei der Wiener Austellung "Menschen in Europa". 2005 dank einer netten Dekan von Danziger Universität dürfte ich meine erste Austellung organisieren. In Jahr 2006 ist das Jahr wo ich dem II platz (in wettbewerb von ca. 25 tausend fotos) belegt habe von dem amerikanischem seite betterphoto.com, V plazt in holländischen FotoSurf wettbewerb von der Zeitschrift Focus, und eine Auszeichnung bei der vierte edition von Baltical Fotografie Wettberwerb. Dann dürfte ich wieder eine Austellung organisieren bei der Daziger Universität unter dem Titel "Danzig- Hafen Stadt" mit dem Protektorat von dem Daziger Stadt Präsident, Rektor der Danziger Universität und dem Dekan DU.

Die Fotografie ist meine große Leidenschaft, ein Sprungbrett aus der Grauheit unseres Lebens. Ich versuche die ganze Zeit meine Werkstatt zu verbessern- mal mit mehr mal mit weniger Erfolg, etwas neues entwickeln, aus der Schablone herauskommen. Zur Zeit will Ich meine neuen Ideen verwirklichen- hauptsächlich mit Porträt verbunden.

Dieses Jahr bringt auch den nächsten Erfolg- eben die Austellung in der Internationalen Galerie in Hamburg "MARZIART" wo Ich mich jetzt schon bei dem Veranstaltern herzlich bedanken möchte.
