"After years of designing cement statues for garden centers en living accesorie stores, has Jelle Geertsma (1975) applied himself to more exclusive work.   Currently his work consists mostly out of realistic, bronze human figures and portrait busts'.   His works are known for their atmospheric and modest compositions.  Sometimes the images are of a tranquil scene, at  other times  the emphasis is placed on dynamic expression.  Through letting the manner of sculpting show in the texture of the works, the image is given a spontaneous effect.
