After being a hairdresser for 25 years and running her own salon and beauty center she moved to Venlo in 1996. In 1997 she started her work as visual artist being an autodidact. To refine the art of realism later on she took lessons from Peter Dillen in Veldhoven and Maarten Boffé in Belgium . After some searching for both subject and technique, her love goes out to still lives in oil-paint. She prefers to paint shiny objects such as glass. It is the reflection that attracts her. The classical art of painting in a modern form gives her many hours of joy in both painting and the final result which is delightful to the eye.
