Erling Tingkær (1948)

Is educated from The Funen Art Academy and made his debut in 1968.

Has since participated in numerous exhibitions, including:
Expo 70 The Free Art Building, Copenhagen .
“Artists Autumn Exhibition” 75 og76. The Free Art Building , Copenhagen
“Art in Construction” Sketch Art Museum Koege,
“Sculpture Biennale 2004” Kings Garden , Copenhagen
Sculpture Society 100 year anniversary exhibition 2005 in the Round Tower ,
National Ceramics Museum 2008,
a number of years participated in the Guest Studio Hollufgård park exhibits.

He is also known for his sculptural decorations in the invironment, some of these are performed in close cooperation with architects and builders.
Has created both indoor and outdoor decorations for institutions and public spaces throughout the country, among others:
“Midgard Serpent”; in Dutchman Park , Middelfart
“Viking Ship”; at Faaborg Harbour ,
“Wind wand”; by Vestfunen High School ,
“Mother of the Beast”; at Noerrrebjergskolen, Odense
“Stele of heaven and earth”, Tuborgvej, Copenhagen .

Tingkærs works are characterized by a willingness to engage in dialogue with both the surroundings and spectators at the visual and the physical plane.
In 2007, Erling Tingkær received “The Funen Art Prize 2007”
