Marziart International Gallery
invites all Artists,18 years or older, to the competition "Best of the year 2009"
in 5 different categories.
The competition is open to all visual artists working in the media
photography, painting and sculpture (no installations)

The intention
is to give talented artist the chance to present their works to the german public without paying the usual exhibition fee to the gallery and to underline their creativity.

The categories

are the follows:  Landscape/Nature - Cityscape - Today Life/People - Still Life - Abstract 
You can participate in any kind of style with paintings, photographies, drawings and prints (etching,monotype...) and sculptures

The winners 

will be selected by a Jury. They will be informed after the 5th of July 2009

The winners of each 5 categories and the best sculptor will be presented at the Gallery with 5 - 8 artworks, depending on the demension and on the gallery website for minimum one year .
Each winner receives a certificate.

The exhibition
will take place at the Marziart international Gallery in Hamburg, Germany
31th of July 2009 - 13th of August  2009
The opening reception and the awarding will be held on the 31th of July 2009.
The artist is responsible for all shipping charges to and from the gallery

Liability and Sales
Artwork will be covered by fine arts insurance while in the gallery.
The gallery charges 20% commission on all works sold as a result of the exhibition. The Gallery reserves the right not to exhibit any work that is not considered appropriate in kind or quality when received.

Publicity
The show will be announced by a specially printed announcement card (you get 50 cards). Further it will be announced in several Hamburg magazines and press releases.

• You send your personal data by application form below or by email :
  Name - address - email -website - howmany images you will send - how you will pay
• The width of the paintings or photographies should not be bigger than 150cm
• Send min. 5 images of your artwork as jpg-file (600 pix referring to the length) with details (category, title, technique, size, year of creation) by email to competition@marziart.com
  or by letter to Marziart Internationale Galerie, Eppendorfer Weg 110 -112, 20259 Hamburg, Germany. Each image could be send for another category.
• Entry fee : 35 Euro or 45 USD for up to 5 images, 5 Euro or 7 USD (for each additional image)
  You could pay by paypal (by paypal also by creditcard) to marziart@aol.com
   
  or money order by Western Union to Marion Zimmermann or cash by letter to the address above. If you want to transfer the fee to my account , i will send the details to you after your submission.
